The Oxford MIGMAKER 301 is a single phase 300A step regulated MIG welder made by British welding machine manufacturer Oxford. Updated for 2023, the MIGMaker 301 still offers the same robust British built build quality as before, but now has a more electrically efficient transformer to comply with latest regulations. Reverse polarity now comes with these machines as standard meaning gasless wire can be used if required.
The largest of the transformer MIG welders now offered by Oxford, the MIGMaker 301 welds up to 10mm and down to very thin material too, with a lowest amperage of just 20A. 16 voltage steps allows fine tuning of output power.
Will even run from a 13A plug for lighter jobs.
A popular machine in the Oxford range, great for automotive work, gates and railings and light to medium agricultural work etc.
The Oxford MIGMAKER is made with a copper wound transformer, rugged switch gear, over rated rectifier and fan cooling all built into a strong 2mm steel chassis. Preferred by some, a transformer based machine arguably provides very long life spans and great reliability. The MIGMAKER range is the most popular model of the Oxford offering.
A high torque cast aluminium wire drive system with a 70W drive motor provides smooth wire feeding hour after hour, day after day.
Oxford take pride in making every machine by hand using the best components sourced in the UK wherever possible.
Updated in 2023, the MIGMaker 301 now complies to BS IEC60974-6 for greater energy efficiency than the previous model. The transformers are now made to be extremely energy efficient and the machine will draw just 25 watts on standby.
There has never been a better time to buy British! With the weak British £ Oxford machines are more competitive than any similar quality imported machine & with the OXFORD long term back up buying British has to be the wise choice.
More output power from a 230V supply, lower input power, better duty cycles, better long term support, better pricing & all made right here in the UK!
All Oxford welding machines are offered with the following guarantees:
2 year warranty all items – except torch and regulator.
5 year main transformer warranty (the heart of the machine)
20 year minimum guarantee of spares availability
* Note the input fuse size on single phase models is a result of Oxfords calculations & tests, it is possible to use any of these models on a lower fuse size at lower welding power. It is recommended always using a ‘D’ type circuit breaker to avoid intermittant tripping & in some instances you may experience intermittant tripping if using close to maximum settings. *The min KVA rating quoted is for up to 3/4 power output, to achieve max output we suggest increase KVA by 40%.
