Validation / Calibration
Calibration of your welding equipment is essential in ensuring the weld procedures undertaken by your machine are accurate. As a rule, the calibration of the MIG & TIG welding equipment ammeters and voltmeters is a requirement, where the quality of the weld is dependent on repeatable elements such as current & voltage. Calibrations are normally carried out on an annual basis or when welding machines are commissioned as new. All tests are carried out in accordance with IEC60974-14 & meets BS EN 1090 structural steel CE marking.
Machine compliance testing
Electrical safety testing of arc welding equipment should be carried out periodically (normally annually), during servicing, before Calibration to EN IEC 60974-14 & after repair of equipment. Our Engineers use specialised test equipment in order to carry out different 'safety testing' of welding equipment. A pat test is not sufficient.
Welding machine & welder generator repairs
Our engineers carry out repairs to all types of welding and cutting equipment including welding generators either on site or in our well equipped repair workshop. We are a recognised service centre for many of the major welding equipment manufacturers.
Lev testing
LEV Testing is the process of thoroughly inspecting and evaluating a local exhaust ventilation system against the commissioning report’s performance, industry standards, and HSE guidelines. It includes airflow and pressure measurements, as well as checks on the effectiveness of contamination exposure control. All equipment, including hoods, filters and ducts, is also subject to additional inspections. According to the HSE’s Occupational Lung Disease in Great Britain 2022 report, 12,000 lung disease deaths each year are estimated to be linked to past exposures at work. This has led to increasingly stringent guidelines and statutory requirements for Local Exhaust Ventilation.
